About Us:

Madras Takeaway is a well-known Indian takeaway based in Sheffield, specialising in authentic, flavour-packed Indian cuisine. We’re currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Tandoori Chef to join our kitchen team. This is a full-time position with UK Skilled Worker visa sponsorship available for qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook authentic tandoori dishes such as kebabs, naan, tandoori chicken, tikka, and grilled items
• Operate and maintain the tandoor oven to ensure high-quality, consistent results
• Assist with prep and kitchen organisation during busy service times
• Ensure all dishes meet food safety and hygiene standards
• Work closely with the head chef and kitchen team
• Maintain cleanliness of the tandoor area and tools

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of experience working with a tandoor in a professional kitchen
• Skilled in handling marination, grilling, and cooking over live fire
• Good understanding of traditional Indian tandoori techniques and spices
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
• Visa sponsorship available for suitable overseas candidates
