We are looking for compassionate, dedicated, and reliable Support Workers to join our team, helping to provide essential care for young adults with complex mental health and learning disabilities. In this fulfilling role, you’ll play a key part in enhancing the lives of individuals, ensuring their well-being, safety, and comfort in a residential care setting. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to work with 16-25-year-olds, supporting them as they grow, learn, and develop their independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct Care Support: Assist young adults with daily living activities, including personal care, cooking, cleaning, and attending appointments.
  • Relationship Building: Develop meaningful, respectful relationships with residents to encourage active participation in daily activities and community engagement.
  • Independence and Skill Development: Support residents to build independent living skills through structured activities and positive reinforcement, following individual care plans and risk assessments.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of residents’ activities, incidents, and progress, ensuring all documentation is up to date and compliant with CQC regulations.
  • Key Worker Sessions: Lead and document key worker sessions with residents, ensuring a holistic approach to their care and well-being.
  • Safeguarding and Health & Safety: Follow safeguarding protocols, monitor residents’ health, and raise any concerns in line with procedures.
  • Collaboration: Build strong relationships with external professionals (e.g., Local Authorities, Social Workers, Healthcare Providers) to ensure a coordinated approach to care.
  • Environment Maintenance: Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the residential environment, promoting a healthy living space for all young adults.
  • Team Participation: Participate in team meetings and training, contributing to ongoing professional development.

About You:

  • Experience: Prior experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential. Familiarity with CQC regulations is a plus.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine passion for working with young adults with complex needs.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work flexible 15 hour shifts with sleep-ins, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the needs of the young people.
  • Team Player: Willingness to work across different homes to gain diverse experience and contribute to a collaborative team approach.

Job Type: Full-time
