Small Animal Vet: Visa sponsorship

CVS UK Ltd

Full job description

Role: Small Animal Vet

Location: Valley Vets, Kilmarnock, East Ayrshire, Scotland.

Salary: Competitive salary depending on experience and certification

Contract: Full-time, permanent position (we are happy to consider part-time or flexi-hours)

CVS Group plc is an AIM listed, international integrated veterinary services provider, which delivers to clients through four business areas; our veterinary practices, diagnostic laboratories, pet crematoria, and e-commerce division. Our success is derived from the passion our people have for animals and for making pets a priority, it’s what is at the heart of our work, every day.

About us: We are a two-site practice, 20 minutes south of Glasgow and only 10 minutes from the beautiful Ayrshire coast, looking for two small animal vets to join our friendly, enthusiastic team who are passionate about delivering the very best of patient care.

We have a purpose-built RCVS accredited main surgery, which was built in 2009, and are the only general practice in Scotland and the second in the whole of the UK to have received 5 RCVS Outstanding Practice Standard Awards, which we are enormously proud of. We are very well equipped as you would expect of a modern, forward-thinking practice, with dental radiography, endoscopy and recently upgraded ultrasound. We have a certificate holder in surgery and Vets currently working towards certificates in surgery and dermatology!

Be part of an amazing group where we care, support, and believe in gold standard client and patient care but also in work/life balance for our colleagues. We are flexible and have both permanent and fixed-term contracts and part-time opportunities available for small animal vets.

There is no on-call required in this role and Saturdays are worked on a rota basis of 1 in 4. Time is given back during the week for working Saturdays. We provide great veterinary support, and we have a fabulous team of nurses, reception, and support staff.

We understand that relocation can be daunting, which is why we offer relocation packages of up to £5k to help make the transition as smooth as possible. Additionally, we are pleased to offer visa sponsorship for eligible candidates who wish to join our team and must be eligible to register with RCVS.

At practice, we value continuing education and are happy to cover the costs of certificates to help you develop your skills and knowledge. We are committed to creating a supportive and inclusive work environment where all team members can thrive. Contact us today to learn more about how we can help you achieve your career goals as a Small Animal Vet!
