The main function of the Shop Manager, as part of the leadership team, is to oversee front
of house personnel, ensure that operations and kitchen run smoothly and handle escalated
customer queries and grievances.

Responsibilities
- assist in organising team schedules, handling staff issues and authorising holiday and
sick leave
- filling in for absent employees and assisting front of house personnel as required
- assist with the coordination of the operations of the store ensuring that staff are
working as a team
- assist in the recruitment, management and training of personnel
- respond to customer queries and complaints
- meet and greet customers and offer advice about menu choices
- assist in maintaining high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety
- check stock levels, order supplies and prepare cash drawers and petty cash
- comply with licensing laws and other legal requirements.
Skills
- previous experience within the hospitality industry, preferably in a comparable role
- proven managerial skills essential
- excellent interpersonal skills for diplomatically handling staff and customers
- the ability to cope under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- good business awareness for achieving successful performance
- an awareness of hygiene, and health and safety regulations
- strong planning and organisational skills to run a streamlined operation
- the ability to work independently and make decisions confidently
- problem-solving ability, to resolve issues as they arise
- a flexible and hands-on approach to work
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £30,000.00 per year
