Full job description

TRUMPF Laser UK, shortened to “TGBL” (Trumpf Great Britain Lasers) spun out of the University of Southampton in 2000 and has invested heavily in its operations and staff. Our employees include everything from Development, Quality, Purchasing, Stores, Production, Test, Shipping, Service, Finance, and HR.

Why work for TGBL?
How brave are you?

We are a high-tech company providing machine tools and laser technology and are looking for people who can face new challenges with a fresh mind. As an independent family company, we offer you the freedom and trust to put your brave ideas into practice. With you on board, we would like to power ahead with the digital networking of the manufacturing industry. Our passion and creative drive ensure that we are an innovative force – across the globe at over 80 TRUMPF locations.

We are a very diverse workforce with employees from many countries and backgrounds. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds and particularly from sections of the community who are currently underrepresented within our industry, including women, ethnic minorities, people with disabilities, and LGBTQ+ individuals. We also want to make sure that our recruitment processes are as inclusive as possible. If you have a disability or health condition (for example dyslexia, autism, an anxiety disorder, etc.) that may affect your performance in certain assessment types, please let us know in your application about potential reasonable adjustments.

What are we looking for?

Are you an experienced and established Senior Financial Analyst looking to join a Manufacturing Engineering company that develops, researches, and develops supply chains for fibre laser solutions for e-mobility, SMART phones, and solar cells? From battery cell manufacturing, through to welding and sealing cells into battery packs, cleaning and welding the hair pins used in automotive electric motors, our lasers find application in a whole host of industries. In fact, the e-mobility revolution would not have been possible without lasers!

We’re looking for a seasoned Financial Analyst to forecast revenues and expenditures and advise us on future budgeting. You will be able to work constructively but with the independence to challenge operational colleagues to improve performance and processes in line with financial targets and possess excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. You will have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including the ability to work with others in teams on complex problems or assignments where multiple approaches may be needed for success. You will also have excellent supervisory and leadership qualities. With all the above mentioned it is important to have proven experience in data analysis focusing on financial data reporting and confidently presenting to the Finance Planning & Business Manager.

For this role, you should hold a degree in Finance or Accounting (ideally with a CFA certification) followed by relevant work experience. Knowledge of forecasting models and cost accounting processes are key requirements for this position.

Working for TRUMPF you will have the opportunity to be involved with a high-performing team while contributing to a pioneer industry leader. TGBL aims to become the world’s leading designer of optical fibre-based lasers. We continually invest in improving our technology and we look to remain at the forefront of innovation in the sector.

Join us on our journey!
