Position Title Senior Education Advisor (Student Recruitment) – Mandarin Speaking

Salary Base of £26,000 to £35,000 + Uncapped Commission + Bonus

Hours of work 35 hours per week

We are looking for target driven Senior Education Advisors (student recruitment) with the entrepreneurial spirit to be part of our young, vibrant, growing team. Our ideal candidates would be confident bilingual talents who have an in- depth understanding of our customers’ culture and consumer mentality and who can effectively build rapport with customers. Training will be provided to the successful candidates and you will work in collaboration with an experienced consultant team, creating and innovating new ways of working to ensure excellent performance. Business Development & Lead Generation

  • Generate leads through online and offline marketing via suitable platforms and channels.
  • Work with the marketing team to develop and enhance lead generation methods by identifying opportunities for campaigns, services and distribution channels that will increase leads and sales.
  • Engage in outreach activities, such as presenting at school/university talks, career events and university fairs (some travel required).


  • Identify and interact with prospective leads/customers, who are both students and parents, by introducing the company and the value that we can provide.
  • Present, promote and pitch TopCourses’ services as per the company sales process.
  • Establish rapport with new leads via social media, WeChat and email to initiate consultations.
  • Conduct consultations and academic assessments in a professional manner.
  • Actively follow up with prospective customers in a tailored and personalised manner, by utilising WeChat, video meetings and screen sharing to connect with and support prospective students in their decision-making process to close sales and to achieve expected sales targets.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the company’s processes, procedures and products to generate the biggest possible returns/sales income for the business.

Service Delivery

  • Advise students on education options in the UK and guide them through the application process.
  • Collaborate with the document-editing team/tutors to ensure fast, efficient and effective follow-up of students’ applications to increase conversion rates and achieve expected enrolments targets, whilst providing a high standard of customer service throughout.
  • Ensure that data is diligently and accurately entered/managed within TopCourses’ CRM system.
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions on how to improve sales processes.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the UK education system and keep up-to-date with the application process and procedures by participating in regular in-house training sessions.


  • At least two years’ work experience in lead generation, sales or education
  • Self-motivated and results-orientated
  • Strong communication skills in both English and Mandarin Chinese
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to learn on one’s own initiative and to research the best study options for students
  • People management experience is an advantage


  • Holiday: 20 days + 8 UK bank Holidays + your birthday
  • Pension: People’s Pension Scheme, currently 5% employee minimum contribution and 3% TopCourses employer contribution
