Squirrels Day Nursery is seeking a fun, passionate, creative, and warm-hearted experienced nursery practitioner to join our fantastic team!!!
Our aim is to offer a stimulating and caring environment where individuals can learn through play and experiences in an atmosphere where respect for oneself, each other and the surroundings is nurtured. We are registered to care for 26 children per session aged 2-5 years all year round. All applicants will be subject to reference and DBS checks
Key responsibilities:
To work as part of a team to deliver high quality education and care for our children.
To implement the EYFS statutory framework to a high standard and maintain accurate records of children’s learning and development as their key worker
To work in partnership with parents/carers and conduct a termly parent/teacher meeting
To promote children’s rights, equality, inclusion and anti-discriminatory practice
To provide a nurturing learning environment that promotes challenging and stimulating opportunities for children both indoors and outdoors.
To adhere to and implement all nursery policies and procedures.
To have a duty of care to our children and their families with good knowledge of and understanding of safeguarding procedures.
To work alongside other professionals to support SEND children
Qualifications training:
A recognized level 2/3 childcare qualification or Unqualified with some experience working with children
First aider-DESIRABLE
Good knowledge of safeguarding children and child protection
Good knowledge of SEND and supporting children with additional needs
Key knowledge, skills and competencies:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Accurate record keeping
Excellent planning and organisation skills
Effective time management skills
Excellent knowledge of the EYFS
Excellent attendance and punctuality
good sickness record
Personal attributes:
Neat and professional appearance
Flexible, responsive and positive attitude to change
Be able to work effectively using own initiative
An excellent team player
Passionate about working with children
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Volunteer, Apprenticeship
Pay: £11.44 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 40 per week
