New exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Registered Podiatrist to join small, enthusiastic, and motivated podiatry team dedicated to delivering a high-quality service and care for patients.
Under the benefit of local supervision, support, and mentorship, the post holder will engage with a varied caseload in a range of settings along with the opportunity to work in areas of MSK, prevention and Systemic disease.
The successful candidate will:
- Be a dedicated team member involved in delivering a high-quality, professional, podiatry service, of a generalised and sometimes specialised nature, in a diverse range of settings throughout Orkney.
- Have excellent professional and clinical skills to deliver preventative care, diagnosing and treating of a wide range of problems affecting the lower limb. Ensuring care is holistic, patient-centred, evidence based and multidisciplinary in approach, often working with people with complex clinical needs.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication, and time management skills.
JOB PURPOSE
The post holder will work autonomously and within a range of community and hospital settings, working to individual or team caseloads, providing the necessary knowledge, skills and behaviours in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients, following evidence based practice, across a range of clinical practices and procedures, utilizing expertise acquired through degree or equivalent
The post holder will manage a case load originating from both secondary and primary care referrals which will necessitate liaison with referring GP’s, practice nurses, community podiatrists and hospital consultants from specialist services
The post holder will also contribute to service development, audit process and the education of students and other colleagues.
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 18 months
Pay: £31,733.00-£39,168.00 per year
