Position Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Network Engineer to join our team. As a Junior Network Engineer at Razorpoint, you will play a vital role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the company’s network infrastructure. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in network engineering and contribute to the stability and security of our network systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design, implementation, and management of network solutions, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
• Monitor and maintain network performance, troubleshooting issues to ensure minimal downtime.
• Support the deployment and configuration of network hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Implement and maintain network security measures to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats.
• Collaborate with senior network engineers and IT staff to optimize network performance and scalability.
• Document network configurations, changes, and processes for future reference and compliance.
• Stay updated with the latest networking technologies and industry best practices to improve network operations.

Skills:

• Basic understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, VPN, VLAN).
• Familiarity with network hardware such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on attention to detail.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of network engineering.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
• Basic knowledge of network security practices and tools.
• Familiarity with cloud networking environments (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Understanding of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
• Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or similar are a plus.
