Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team based in Shoreditch. As a Junior Cybersecurity Analyst at Razorpoint, you will work closely with experienced security professionals to protect our digital assets and ensure the integrity of our systems. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of remote work combined with valuable in-office collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in monitoring and analyzing security events and incidents using various security tools and platforms.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of security measures, including firewalls, anti-virus software, and intrusion detection systems.
• Help in conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate potential threats.
• Collaborate with the IT team to respond to and investigate security breaches or suspicious activities.
• Maintain and update security documentation, including incident reports and risk assessments.
• Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.
• Contribute to the development and execution of security policies and procedures.
• Assist in training staff on security awareness and best practices.

Skills:

• Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.
• Familiarity with security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and anti-virus software.
• Understanding of network protocols and operating systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of cybersecurity.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems.

• Experience with scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP (or in progress).
