Overview
The restaurant floor manager serves as the frontline leader responsible for the smooth functioning of the dining area, ensuring that customers receive exceptional service from the moment they enter until they leave. Acting as the liaison between the kitchen and the front-of-house staff, the floor manager orchestrates operations to maintain efficiency, uphold quality standards, and cultivate a welcoming atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
The floor manager is responsible for overseeing the front-of-house staff, including hosts/hostesses,
servers, bartenders, and bussers.
The floor manager ensures that customers are greeted warmly, their needs are attended to promptly,
and any issues or complaints are resolved satisfactorily.
The floor manager oversees the dining area, ensuring that tables are set correctly, the ambiance is
appropriate, and service flows smoothly.
The floor manager monitors food presentation, checks orders for accuracy, and ensures that food and
beverages meet the restaurant’s quality guidelines.
The floor manager may assist in monitoring inventory levels of front-of-house supplies such as
glassware, utensils, and linens.
The floor manager plays a role in training new front-of-house staff, including familiarizing them with
the restaurant’s procedures, menu items, and customer service expectations.
The floor manager may be responsible for handling cash transactions, processing credit card
payments, and reconciling receipts at the end of the shift.
The floor manager is responsible for ensuring that the restaurant complies with health and safety
regulations.
The floor manager oversees the scheduling of front-of-house staff, ensuring adequate coverage
during peak hours and adjusting staffing levels as needed based on reservations and customer flow.
Qualification & Skills:
Strong leadership skills are essential for a floor manager.
Excellent communication skills are crucial for interacting with staff, customers, and suppliers.
Providing exceptional customer service is a top priority for a floor manager.
The ability to think quickly and resolve issues on the spot is vital in a fast-paced restaurant
environment.

Details of the skill, experience and qualifications required for the above post:
The Minimum level of qualification needed for the new worker is GCSEs or equivalent and one years; work
experience in the relevant field. The candidate must possess good communications skills, and the minimum (CEFR) B1 level English is required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £30,799.32-£40,485.66 per year
