Overview
We are seeking female carers to provide essential support and assistance to our clients. This role is pivotal in enhancing the quality of life for individuals who require culturally sensitive care and support in their daily lives. A valid UK driving license is essential, as you are required to visit client’s home.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients’ health conditions.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs.
- Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including driving clients to appointments or social activities.
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living space.
- Support clients with dementia care, employing patience and understanding to manage their unique needs.
- Engage in activities that promote mental and physical well-being, such as exercise or hobbies.
- Conduct first aid when necessary and ensure safety protocols are followed at all times.
Skills
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is highly desirable, particularly in home care or similar environments.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families.
- Capability to assist clients with mobility or transfers.
- Knowledge of first aid practices is beneficial for ensuring client safety.
- Experience in dementia care will be advantageous.
- A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Ability to prepare meals that meet specific dietary requirements while considering personal preferences.
