Experienced Sous chef: Visa sponsorship

We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Sous Chef to join our team at a busy, upmarket Italian restaurant. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in the culinary operations of our establishment, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and authentic Italian cuisine to our discerning clientele.

Responsibilities:
– Prepare and cook a wide variety of Italian dishes, including pasta, risotto, pizza, seafood, and grilled meats, in accordance with our restaurant’s recipes and standards.
– Coordinate and collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations during busy periods.
– Monitor food quality, presentation, and portion control to guarantee customer satisfaction and adherence to our restaurant’s brand.
– Maintain a clean and organised work environment, following all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
– Assist Head Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and cost control initiatives.
– Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, promoting a positive and professional work culture.
– Stay updated with industry trends, new cooking techniques, and ingredients to continuously enhance the menu offerings.

Requirements:
– Previous experience working as a Sous Chef in a high-volume, upmarket Italian restaurant or similar culinary environment.
– Extensive knowledge of Italian cuisine, including traditional recipes, cooking techniques, and ingredients.
– Strong culinary skills and the ability to create innovative and visually appealing dishes.
– Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple orders and meet deadlines.
– Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high food quality standards.
– Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
– Effective communication and leadership skills to collaborate with the kitchen team.
– Valid food handling and safety certification.

Pay: £36,000.00-£39,000.00 per year
