Energy & Sustainability Manager: Visa sponsorship

Nationwide Utilities

Position: Energy / Sustainability Manager

Location: SW London | Full-Time

About Us:

At Nationwide Utilities, we are more than just an energy consultancy—we are a close-knit team committed to shaping the future of energy management. With over two decades of industry expertise, our company thrives on innovation and a collaborative spirit that feels more like a start-up than a large corporation. As we grow, we seek a like-minded professional to join our journey, where every team member plays a crucial role in achieving our shared vision.

Role Overview:

We are seeking an adaptable and driven Energy & Sustainability Manager to lead and develop our sustainability initiatives. This role is designed for someone who is not only experienced in energy management and sustainability but also values a collaborative approach to client service and internal teamwork. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients—some with in-house capabilities, where your role will be to support and enhance their efforts, and others who may require comprehensive management of their energy and sustainability services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tailored Sustainability Solutions: Work closely with clients to develop and implement sustainability strategies that are customized to their specific needs. Whether it’s providing support for clients with existing in-house capabilities or offering complete management of their sustainability services, you will ensure a hand-to-glove fit between their needs and our solutions.
  • Collaborative Project Management: Lead carbon reduction initiatives, such as the installation of EV charging stations, solar projects, and the development of heat networks with a focus on CHPQA compliance. You will collaborate with Account Managers, energy analysts, an AI expert, and our development team to deliver these projects efficiently.
  • Data-Driven Energy Management: Oversee the development of energy emissions databases (Scopes 1, 2, and 3), manage utility consumption reports, and track monthly savings against proposed targets. You’ll work with both internal teams and external partners to ensure our clients meet their sustainability goals.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with SECR, ESOS, CHPQA, and other relevant regulations, keeping our clients ahead of the curve in a constantly evolving regulatory landscape.
  • Flexible Service Delivery: Engage with clients and internal teams to determine whether services will be delivered internally or through external partners, ensuring that we always provide the best possible solution. This flexibility allows us to adapt quickly to client needs while maintaining high standards.
  • Personal and Professional Growth: At Nationwide Utilities, your role will evolve to align with both the company’s goals and your personal development ambitions. We believe that when our team members grow, the company grows too. This role offers the opportunity to carve out your path in a way that supports your long-term career aspirations while contributing to the company’s success.
  • Shared Vision and Success: As a key member of our team, you will have an actionable stake in the company, making it truly our company and our vision. We operate on the principle that when one of us succeeds, we all succeed. Your contributions will directly impact our collective success, creating a rewarding environment where everyone’s goals are aligned.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven Experience in Energy Management: A strong background in energy management, with a track record of leading sustainability projects and delivering results.
  • Strong Knowledge of ESG Standards: Experience in developing and implementing ESG strategies, with a focus on compliance and reporting.
  • Project Leadership: Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale energy efficiency projects, including experience with EV charging installations, solar energy, and heat networks.
  • Collaborative Mindset: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work closely with both clients and internal teams to deliver tailored solutions.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: A proactive approach to solving problems and a willingness to adapt to changing client needs and company goals.
