Full job description
As a STEM & STEAM Educator, you will be responsible for inspiring and equipping learners with future-ready skills by teaching Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) subjects. This role blends theoretical concepts with hands-on learning, fostering creativity, problem-solving, and innovation through interactive lessons and real-world applications.
You will play a key role in curriculum development, instructional design, and project-based learning, helping students develop critical thinking, collaboration, and digital literacy skills.
Example of Key Performance Indicators
● Reporting to the CEO, the Education Outreach Manager will work closely with the outreach team and Space Store’s partners to
○ Increase the number of corporate (and other) events delivered annually
○ Deliver corporate (and other) events to a 5-star rating standard
● Example Key Performance Indicators to evaluate performance are:
○ Number of repeat customers maintained quarterly
○ Number of new client leads monthly
○ Number of new client contracts agreed monthly
■ Full day events booked
■ Workshops – team building
■ International events booked
Key Responsibilities Instruction & Student Engagement
- Deliver engaging, hands-on lessons in STEM & STEAM subjects, integrating science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics.
- Use interactive, project-based, and inquiry-driven teaching methods to make learning exciting and relevant.
- Incorporate emerging technologies, such as robotics, coding, AI, 3D printing, and virtual reality, into lessons.
- Guide students in practical experiments, maker projects, and real-world problem-solving activities.
- Foster a growth mindset, encouraging students to explore, fail, and iterate on their ideas.
Curriculum & Program Development
- Design modern, interdisciplinary lesson plans that align with STEM/STEAM educational standards.
- Develop customized learning modules, adapting teaching strategies to different age groups and skill levels.
- Integrate cross-disciplinary concepts, linking STEM subjects with arts, creativity, and human-centered design.
- Stay updated with education trends, technological advancements, and best practices in STEM & STEAM education.
Innovation & Skills Development
- Encourage critical thinking, computational thinking, and problem-solving through challenges and competitions.
- Introduce students to entrepreneurial and design-thinking approaches, helping them develop innovative mindsets.
- Facilitate STEM clubs, hackathons, maker spaces, and collaborative projects to deepen learning beyond the classroom.
- Support students in developing prototypes, digital projects, and creative solutions to real-world issues.
Collaboration & Outreach
- Work closely with educators, industry partners, and STEM professionals to enrich learning experiences.
- Organize STEM & STEAM events, guest lectures, and mentorship programs.
- Advocate for diversity and inclusion in STEM fields, ensuring all students have equitable opportunities to thrive.
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a STEM/STEAM-related field (Education, Engineering, Computer Science, Design, etc.).
- Strong proficiency in one or more STEM technologies (e.g., robotics, coding, AI, data science, engineering design, digital media).
- Passion for creative problem-solving, design thinking, and fostering an innovation mindset in students.
- Ability to make STEM topics accessible, engaging, and hands-on for different learning styles.
- Strong communication and mentoring skills to inspire young minds.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with coding (Python, Scratch, JavaScript, etc.), robotics (Arduino, LEGO Mindstorms, Raspberry Pi), or AI tools.
- Background in educational technology, e-learning development, or online teaching tools.
- Experience with STEM outreach programs, competitions, and innovation challenges.
- Certifications in STEM education, project-based learning, or technology integration.

Pay: £27,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
