Key Responsibilities:

  • Stay updated on UK statutory educational guidelines.
  • Deliver school-based Educational Psychology services, including consultation, assessment, and advice.
  • Manage your schedule to meet the requirements of each school.
  • Produce evidence-based educational reports with clear, actionable psychological advice.
  • Provide high-quality psychological input as part of the Education, Health and Care Needs Assessment (EHCNA) process.
  • Plan and deliver staff training sessions in schools.
  • Monitor and evaluate school interventions, providing guidance to enhance their effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to offer holistic support.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of students’ educational, emotional, and psychological needs.
  • Work with school staff and parents to develop tailored intervention plans and strategies.
  • Provide individual and group counselling to students, addressing social, emotional, and behavioural challenges.
  • Advise teachers on implementing effective teaching strategies and accommodations for students with special educational needs.
  • Contribute to the development of school-wide initiatives to enhance student well-being and academic success.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and contribute to the creation of Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Stay informed about current research and best practices in educational psychology to continually improve your practice.

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate training in educational psychology.
  • Registered with HCPC UK and BPS.
  • Experience working with children/young people in various educational settings within the UK.
  • Knowledge of current SEN legislation and educational context.
  • An in depth understanding of the educational landscape,
  • Superb communication skills and the ability to produce clear, professional reports.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of UK-based intervention programmes.
  • Experience in various educational settings.
  • Flexibility to travel to schools in London

Pay: £45,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
