Job Overview
We are currently seeking a dedicated Care Manager (Domiciliary) to join our team in Oxfordshire. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare. Generally, the candidate will be responsible for ensuring the business complies with all statutory regulations at all times and for providing strong management and leadership to all staff, and maintain quality relations with clients. Responsible for understanding and complying with statutory and legal requirements that are relevant, including Health & Safety, COSHH, all aspects of the Care Standards Act to ensure that all care teams and other staff maintain a safe environment throughout the home. Responsible for timely escalation of key issues to the Operations Manager/other parties as instructed.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • manages Day-to-day operations of the business by allocating resources and monitoring performance while maintaining company values
  • ensures that service users have access to health and social care services as required
  • creates a friendly, secure atmosphere to gain the trust and confidence of those using the service
  • determines staffing, financial, material and other short- and long-term requirements
  • plans work schedules, assigns tasks and delegates responsibilities to staff
  • arranges for payment of bills and keeps accounts
  • maintains contact between service users and the local community and/or family and friends
  • ensures all training is monitored and recorded accordingly in line with regulations
  • conducts staff appraisals, regular supervisory meetings and spot checks
  • liaises with other care professionals/workers and clients as required and ensures that all records are updated accurately.
  • manages all DBS checks, Right To Work checks and serves as Level 1 User on SMS
  • provides any and all reports on the business as required
  • liaises with the Operations/Marketing Manager to identify opportunities for growth within the business though effective relationships and engagement
  • attends external meetings and representing the service positively while also assisting in the growth and development of the business


There are no pre-set academic entry requirements for this role. However, entrants should be a degree holder in any health related discipline, Management, or Law desirably. Or a minimum of NVQs/SVQs in Health and Social Care at Levels 3 and 4. Off- and on-the-job training is provided and a range of qualifications is available including. Background checks including a DBS check are required.

During probation, this role is exclusively office-based. After confirmation and gaining CQC qualification, the role would include both office and field duties.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £25,728.58-£31,660.67 per year
