Seren Support Services Ltd is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Team Leader with Medication Competency Assessor responsibilities. In this crucial role, you’ll lead and support a team of care professionals, ensuring safe and efficient medication administration across our services while maintaining high standards of care delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
– Medication Competency Assessor: Lead the medication management process, ensuring staff administer medication safely and according to best practice. Conduct risk assessments, manage medication changes, and communicate with GPs and health professionals.
– Mentoring & Coaching: Support new team members through their probationary period, providing guidance and feedback to help them meet professional standards.
– Care & Compliance: Ensure all care workers comply with quality standards through spot checks, supervision, and ongoing training.
– On-Call Support: Participate in an on-call rotation to provide leadership during emergencies outside normal working hours.
What We’re Looking For:
– Experience in domiciliary care with excellent knowledge of medication management and safety procedures.
– NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or working towards it) and relevant Medication Competency Assessor training or experience & passion for medication within social care.
– Strong organisational skills and proficiency in technology platforms like PASS and Microsoft Teams.
– A valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
