At Oxford College of Education, we’ve recently made significant enhancements to two crucial sectors: our CPD training qualifications offered online, and our comprehensive range of GCSE, IGCSE, AS, and A Level courses tailored for both local and international students.

To further expand our reach and maximize the impact of these improvements, we’re actively seeking a Business Development Manager.

IGCSE, AS, and A-Level:

The Business Development Executive may need to communicate with overseas English-medium schools conducting IGCSE, AS, and A-Level qualifications, arrange meetings, and present how our Moodle Workplace LMS works. Agreements between our college and these schools will be signed, and the learning will be registered into our system.


The Business Development Executive may need to communicate with overseas universities where students can pursue dual qualifications—one from their university and, at the same time, our CPD-accredited training-based qualifications. MOUs between OCE and their universities will be signed, and the learning will be registered into our system.


The Business Development Executive may need to communicate with large overseas corporate companies seeking CPD-accredited training-based professional qualifications for their employees. Meetings will be arranged, our offerings will be presented, and explanations on how the training for their employees will be conducted will be provided. Corporate agreements between the company and OCE will be signed, and the learning will be registered into our system.

Overseas Government Employees:

The Business Development Executive may need to arrange meetings with various overseas government departments seeking CPD-accredited training-based professional qualifications for their employees, present our offerings, and sign agreements to register the learning into our system.

Digital Skills:

The Business Development Executive will assist other marketing staff in creating posters, banners, flyers, and helping to make course catalogs on WhatsApp, Facebook, Google My Business, etc.

Client Engagement and Overseas Travel:

The Business Development Executive may need to visit clients outside the office and travel to overseas countries to promote the college and its courses for marketing purposes. Oxford College of Education will reimburse all reasonable expenses incurred during these trips, including travel, accommodation, food, and other relevant costs.

Special Conditions:

The post holder will be required to undertake independent overseas travel and to work evenings and weekends in agreement with the line manager.

The post holder is willing to relocate wherever Oxford College of Education relocates its campus.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible to: Sales and Marketing Manager/Business development manager (Line Manager)

Responsible for: IGCE, AS Level, A-Level and CPD Accredited Courses

Key relationships:

The post holder will be required to interact effectively with a variety of contacts at all levels, both internal and external. Strong working relationships must be developed with:


Admissions team, other Sales and Marketing teams, Senior Management Team, Academic team, and other support teams including the account and finance team, admin team, reception area, and Student Services.


The role involves engaging with various stakeholders such as the British Council, ASIC, WEBA AGENT, English UK schools, overseas schools offering IGCSE/A-LEVELS/CPD Accredited Courses

, embassies and consulates, as well as international schools, colleges, and universities, parents, agents, corporate companies, overseas government department for CPD course etc.

Main duties and responsibilities:

As a Business Development Executive at Oxford College of Education, you will play a pivotal role in driving the promotion and sales of our educational programs. Your responsibilities will include:

1.Promoting and selling IGCSE, AS, and A Level programs to students, particularly in English medium schools in overseas countries.

2.Visiting and negotiating with large companies and various government departments where training qualifications are needed.

3.Developing and implementing effective social media strategies to enhance brand visibility and drive enrolment growth across various platforms.

4.Strategizing and executing targeted email marketing campaigns to nurture leads and promote relevant educational opportunities to segmented audiences.

5.Representing Oxford College of Education at international events and fairs, fostering connections with potential students and partners.

6.Building strong relationships with educational consultants, schools, and institutions in the overseas countries to promote the college and attract top talent.

7.Developing targeted campaigns and cultivating partnerships to expand recruitment reach and diversify the college’s network.

8.Establishing clear sales targets and leveraging data to forecast future growth and success.

9.Identifying and exploiting opportunities for increased recruitment, which may arise while overseas. This may include, for example, representing the college at high-level receptions and meetings with senior staff (Vice Chancellors, Ministers, Government sponsors, Embassy officials).

10.Managing the college’s network of recruitment agents in the markets identified by the Head of International Student Recruitment.

11.Monitoring ongoing performance of agents to ensure that expectations in terms of quality and recruitment are met, that any under-performance is addressed, and that recruitment targets are set each year.

12.Attending monthly meetings with the admissions team and other senior management to share and update the outcomes and opportunities.

Key Requirements:

•Capable of recruiting individual and group students for online IGCSE and A-level courses.

•Proficient in negotiating contracts with large overseas companies and government varieus sector across various sectors for employee training.

•Skilled in signing contracts with overseas schools, colleges, and universities for IGCSE, A-level, and CPD courses.

Person Specification

•Knowledge: Understanding of CPD Courses, IGCSE, and A-level qualifications.

•Experience: Require at least 5 years of experience in a comparable role, with a strong emphasis on successfully closing corporate deals. Must demonstrate a proven track record in corporate deal closures.

•Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

•Personal Qualities: Self-driven, confident, collaborative, enthusiastic, and willing to travel.

•Circumstances: Able to travel independently and work flexible hours.
