Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Bricklayer to join our team. The Bricklayer will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining walls, foundations, chimneys, and other structures using bricks, concrete blocks, and stone. The successful applicant will demonstrate attention to detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
Responsibilities
- Build and repair walls, foundations, and other structures using bricks, blocks, or stones.
- Lay bricks, blocks, and other types of masonry units according to specifications and drawings.
- Mix and apply mortar to hold bricks and blocks in place.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to cut, shape, and finish materials.
- Keep the work area clean and follow safety rules.
- Ensure the work is strong, level, and looks good.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters and roofers on site projects.
- Perform repairs on existing masonry structures as needed.
- Inspect completed work for quality assurance before final sign-off.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Bricklayer or in a similar construction role.
- Ability to read and follow building plans or drawings.
- Skilled in using tools like trowels, levels, and brick-cutting equipment.
- Knowledge of mixing and applying mortar.
- Experience in building walls, foundations, and other structures with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with various hand tools and power tools used in construction.
- Experience in bricklaying techniques is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential for success in this role.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £30,000.00-£31,000.00 per year
