Prospective master’s students from certain countries are eligible to seek a scholarship opportunity at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. As stated in a post on the institution’s website, this scholarship is open to individuals from low and middle-income countries.
The school has outlined countries such as Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, Zambia, and Zimbabwe among those whose students may qualify for complete funding of their tuition fees, provided they meet the criteria. In addition to covering tuition fees, selected candidates will receive a living stipend of 19,500 Pounds for the duration of their master’s program.
According to information available on the school’s website,
“These scholarships are made available thanks to the generosity of donors to the LSHTM Fund. With support from numerous alumni and well-wishers, the LSHTM Fund aims to provide scholarships for the future generation of leaders in global health. This year, two scholarships are aimed at assisting outstanding candidates who would otherwise be unable to pursue their studies without financial assistance.”
To be eligible for this financial support, individuals must have received an offer of admission for the 2024-25 academic year to one of LSHTM’s London-based (intensive) MSc programs. This means that prospective beneficiaries must first apply for admission and gain acceptance into the institution. The deadline for submission of applications for consideration is March 4, 2024.
