Indo-Chinese Wok Chef / Chef

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our dynamic culinary team at Wokandspice Restaurant Ltd. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Indo-Chinese cuisine, excellent Wok cooking skills, and a deep understanding of food preparation and food safety standards.
As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes, managing kitchen operations, and helping us deliver an exceptional dining and delivery experience to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring consistently high standards of food quality and presentation
- Prepare and cook a wide range of Indo-Chinese dishes according including veg and non-veg
- Manage inventory levels: ordering supplies, reducing waste, and maintaining cost controls
- Ensure full compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen
- Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a team-oriented and positive environment
- Collaborate with management on new menu development and culinary innovation
- Assist in planning and execution of special events or catering as required
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Follow health & safety procedures at all times
Required Skills & Experience
- 3-5 years of professional kitchen experience (wok cooking: 2+ years preferred)
- Strong team management and leadership skills
- Expertise in Indo-Chinese cuisine: noodles, fried rice, Manchurian, chilli dishes, Asian roast meats
- Proficient in food preparation techniques and culinary arts
- Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and guest experience
- In-depth understanding of food hygiene & safety regulations
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure and maintain attention to detail

Schedule
- Tuesday to Sunday 3 pm to 10 pm. Monday off
Experience
- Chef: 3 years (preferred)
- Wok cooking: 2 years (preferred)
Work Location
On-site: Northwood, London, HA6 1PF (not remote)

Pay: £11.44-£16.92 per hour
