Position Summary:
The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the manufacturing process to ensure efficient and effective production. This role requires a dynamic leader with a strong background in manufacturing operations, process improvement, and team management. The Manufacturing Manager will play a critical role in driving operational excellence, improving productivity, and ensuring the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
● Operational Management:
- Oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure production schedules are met with efficiency and quality.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimise production processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Develop production metrics and KPIs, ensuring continuous improvement and adherence to targets.
● Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing manufacturing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback and training to team members.
- Ensure a safe and positive working environment, promoting health and safety standards.
● Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste and enhance productivity.
- Collaborate with the Process Improvement Manager to prioritise and execute improvement projects.
- Utilise data and analytics to drive decision-making and measure the impact of improvements.
● Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all products meet the highest quality standards and comply with industry regulations.
- Implement quality control procedures and conduct regular inspections and audits.
- Address and resolve any quality issues in a timely and effective manner.
● Resource Management:
- Manage and allocate resources, including labour, materials, and equipment, to maximise efficiency and minimise costs.
- Oversee maintenance schedules to ensure all machinery and equipment are in optimal working condition.
- Develop and manage the manufacturing budget, tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
● Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments, including Purchasing, Supply Chain, and Logistics, Warehouse to ensure seamless operations.
- Communicate regularly with senior management to provide updates on production status, challenges, and achievements.
Qualifications:
● Education: Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
● Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in manufacturing management, preferably in the kitchen or furniture manufacturing industry.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in lean manufacturing principles and process improvement methodologies.
- Solid understanding of quality control standards and practices.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £54,793.70-£70,000.00 per month
