Position Summary:

The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the manufacturing process to ensure efficient and effective production. This role requires a dynamic leader with a strong background in manufacturing operations, process improvement, and team management. The Manufacturing Manager will play a critical role in driving operational excellence, improving productivity, and ensuring the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

● Operational Management:

• Oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure production schedules are met with efficiency and quality.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimise production processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Develop production metrics and KPIs, ensuring continuous improvement and adherence to targets.

● Team Leadership:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing manufacturing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback and training to team members.
• Ensure a safe and positive working environment, promoting health and safety standards.

● Process Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste and enhance productivity.
• Collaborate with the Process Improvement Manager to prioritise and execute improvement projects.
• Utilise data and analytics to drive decision-making and measure the impact of improvements.

● Quality Assurance:

• Ensure all products meet the highest quality standards and comply with industry regulations.
• Implement quality control procedures and conduct regular inspections and audits.
• Address and resolve any quality issues in a timely and effective manner.

● Resource Management:

• Manage and allocate resources, including labour, materials, and equipment, to maximise efficiency and minimise costs.
• Oversee maintenance schedules to ensure all machinery and equipment are in optimal working condition.
• Develop and manage the manufacturing budget, tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

● Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Work closely with other departments, including Purchasing, Supply Chain, and Logistics, Warehouse to ensure seamless operations.
• Communicate regularly with senior management to provide updates on production status, challenges, and achievements.

Qualifications:

● Education: Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.

● Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in manufacturing management, preferably in the kitchen or furniture manufacturing industry.

• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in lean manufacturing principles and process improvement methodologies.
• Solid understanding of quality control standards and practices.

Pay: £54,793.70-£70,000.00 per month
