**Job Title: Pharmacist**(SOC: 2251)
**Location: ** OFLINN Pharmacy, Brighton
**Job Overview: **
OLINN Pharmacy seeks a highly skilled and knowledgeable Pharmacist to enhance our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing expert patient care, and ensuring pharmaceuticals’ safe and effective use. With a strong background in ICU settings, patient care, anatomy knowledge, and medication administration, the Pharmacist will play a critical role in delivering exceptional pharmaceutical services and contributing to improved patient outcomes.
**Duties and Responsibilities: **
– **Medication Dispensing: ** Accurately and efficiently dispense prescription medications, ensuring the correct drug, dosage, and administration route are provided to patients.
– **Patient Counselling: ** Offer comprehensive medication counselling, including guidance on proper usage, potential side effects, and drug interactions to ensure patient understanding and adherence to therapy.
– **Collaborative Care: ** Work closely with healthcare professionals to develop, implement, and monitor individualised patient care plans, addressing complex medication needs and contributing to interdisciplinary team efforts.
– **Medication Order Review: ** Scrutinize medication orders for correctness, appropriateness, and compatibility, making necessary recommendations or adjustments to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
– **Therapy Monitoring: ** Monitor and assess patient responses to medication therapies, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to ensure efficacy and safety.
– **Regulatory Compliance: ** Ensure adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and professional standards, maintaining the highest level of practice and patient safety.
– **Documentation: ** Maintain precise and up-to-date patient records, including medication histories and treatment outcomes, to support ongoing patient care and quality assurance.
– **Quality Improvement: ** Engage in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care processes, outcomes, and overall service delivery.
**Qualifications: **
– **Educational Background: ** MPharm (Master of Pharmacy) degree from an accredited pharmacy program is required.
– **Licensure: ** Possession of a valid pharmacist license in the state of practice.
– **Pharmaceutical Knowledge: ** Demonstrated expertise in pharmaceuticals, including drug interactions, dosage requirements, and safe medication practices.
– **Communication Skills: ** Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, healthcare providers, and team members.
– **Attention to Detail: ** Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of pharmacy practice.
– **Work Environment: ** Capability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple tasks and responsibilities effectively.
**Compensation and Benefits: **
– Competitive salary range of £45,000 – £50,000 per annum.
-Working hours per week- 37.5 hrs
