Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. This role is pivotal in ensuring that clients receive the care and assistance they need to maintain their independence and quality of life. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of home care practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to follow care plans effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management.
• Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety and comfort during transport.
• Implement and adhere to individual care plans, adjusting support as necessary based on the client’s needs.
• Communicate effectively with clients and their families, providing updates on progress and any concerns that may arise.
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in the client’s condition to relevant professionals.
• Ensure a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties as needed.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for each client.

Skills

• Previous experience in home care or a related field is highly desirable.
• Strong ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes.
• A valid driving licence is essential for transporting clients.
• Understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately.
• Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care in a home setting.
• Ability to work independently while also being a team player when necessary
