Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes or home care settings, assisting with daily living activities and ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained. Your ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with healthcare professionals will be vital in delivering personalised care plans tailored to each individual’s needs.
Duties
- Assist residents or clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Support the implementation of care plans, ensuring that all aspects of the individual’s needs are met.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents or clients, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Monitor and report any changes in the health or behaviour of residents or clients to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Engage with residents or clients through meaningful conversation and activities to promote their well-being.
- Document care provided accurately in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Drive to various locations as required for home care assignments, ensuring timely arrival at appointments.
Skills
- Experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
- Strong understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members.
- Ability to drive is advantageous for roles involving home visits.
- Proficient IT skills for documentation and communication purposes.
- A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Strong organisational skills to manage time effectively while providing high-quality care.

Requirements:
- Driving Licence: Required (car, motorbike, or moped).
- No prior care experience needed – our first-class training will ensure you have the skills and confidence to start the role.
- Ability to pass a DBS check and provide references.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Temporary
Pay: £12.50-£14.00 per hour
