Group Manage/ Area Manager

Overview:

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Leadership and Team Management:

  • Provide strategic leadership to a team of operations managers, fostering alignment with company objectives and values.
  • Mentor and guide operations managers to excel in their roles, ensuring effective team leadership and collaboration.
  • Develop and nurture a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

2. Operational Excellence:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple restaurant locations, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures (company handbook)
  • Implement standardised operational processes to maintain consistency, quality, and efficiency across all outlets.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KP|s), analyse operational data, and make informed decisions to drive improvements.

3. Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage budgets for each location, monitoring expenses, revenue, and profitability.
  • analyse financial reports, identify cost-saving opportunities, and drive revenue growth.
  • Implement strategies to optimise cost management and resource allocation.

4. Guest Experience Enhancement:

  • Champion a guest-centric culture, ensuring exceptional service quality and memorable dining experiences.
  • Review guest feedback and insights to identify trends, implementing measures to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with operations managers to address customer concerns and maintain a positive

5. Quality Assurance and Compliance:

  • Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and sanitation standards across all locations.
  • Establish and uphold operational protocols to ensure consistent quality in both service and products.
  • Monitor compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.

6. Vendor and Supplier Management:

  • Foster strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and reliable deliveries.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms to secure favorable pricing, terms, and service agreements.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to optimise supply chain processes and inventory management.

7. Staff Recruitment and Training:

  • Lead the recruitment process for operational staff, including restaurant managers, chefs, and service staff.
  • Develop and execute training programs to ensure all staff members are equipped with the skills and knowledge to excel.
  • Oversee onboarding processes to ensure a seamless integration for new team members.

8. Staff Development and Performance:

  • Foster a culture of professional growth and development, providing guidance for career progression.
  • Set performance expectations for operations managers, conduct performance evaluations, and provide ongoing coaching.
  • Address staffing needs, ensure adequate coverage, and manage workforce scheduling.

9. Strategic Planning and Expansion:

  • Contribute to the development of business strategies, expansion plans, and new market entry.
  • Evaluate potential locations and growth opportunities through comprehensive market research.
