Affinity Medical Services is an independent medical evidence services and rehabilitation program provider. Working in partnership with solicitors, Affinity Medical Services provides a variety of medico legal services to solicitors dealing with personal injury claims.
We are currently seeking to hire an experienced, well-spoken, professional, self-motivated and enthusiastic clinical negligence and serious injury administrator to join our team. This is a great opportunity to join a growing business.
Working hours for this role are 5 days per week, Monday – Friday, primarily between the hours of 9am – 5.30 pm.
The Role:
This role will entail dealing with a specific client/customer case load with complete accountability for ensuring all cases are progressed as efficiently as possible from creation to conclusion. As a case handler, you will be allocated your own cohort of Solicitors for which you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of processing the incoming workload but also managing your clients service and expectations. You will manage each case from inception to completion providing support and advice to your solicitors along the way. Building relationships is key in this role as the solicitors find having one point of contact essential especially when there are multiple expert reports being obtained, often simultaneously.
Working alongside team managers already in post they will onboard each client instruction and ensure its completion within a timely manner. Key objective of this role will be to improve the reports sales and turnaround times, helping to meet the monthly company sales targets.
The successful candidate will enjoy the challenge of achieving targets set by the senior management team and deal with the day-to-day interaction of both internal and external personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing external calls, emails from clients, GP’s, Consultants, Solicitors and external secretaries wishing to use our services.
- Instruct, recording and retrieving large volumes of referrals from external sources, and ensuring all information is accurately logged in the Proclaim case management system.
- Proactively recruiting providers and instructing parties.

- Responsibility of meeting court deadlines, part 35 and joint report requests.

Essential Qualification and Skills:
- At least one year of medico legal experience in a clinical negligence/ serious injury role.
- Excellent client relationship building skills.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal, with active listening skills.
- Ability to work effectively under deadlines.
- Excellent attention to details, analytic ability and problem-solving skills.
- Positive, calm and productive.
- Highly motivated, organised and proactive.
- A keenness to learn and develop and pick up new skills.
- PC literate with MS Office experience, able to work on their own initiative and be able to prioritise their workload and that of the team, accordingly.
Desirable Skills:
- Transfer existing instructing party relationships to add to the business portfolio.
- Proficient use of the Proclaim case management system.
- Work experience as a team leader or supervisor.

Pay: £23,000 – £27,000 per year depending on experience.
